About April Adventures
Providing Extraordinary Travel Experiences
In 1988 I traveled abroad for the first time. In a small dormitory on the outskirts of Moscow I studied Russian and learned how to navigate a brand new everything. From the hourly chime of Moscow radio to a silent winter snowfall in Red Square, I was an enthusiastic observer and participant. The faded photograph is of me standing in front of Rodina-Mat’, a WWII memorial overlooking the city of Volgograd. I was 24 years old. It is where this journey began.
From this first experience and through my work I became an avid traveler. I’ve gone swimming in Lake Bled, ridden elephants in Chiang Mai and danced the merengue in Caracas. I’ve shopped for winter coats in Almaty, Berber rugs in Marrakesh and hanboks in Seoul. I've been bitten by a scorpion in Manaus and jumped out of a moving taxi near Gorky Park (not all travel goes as planned…).With every new country I felt transported to secret worlds – of ideas, traditions, natural beauty and new friendships.
Fast forward 30 years and I have turned my love of travel in to an advisory and design service that I am delighted to share with you, fellow explorer. I create custom travel itineraries to any destination you can dream up, design and lead group tours to places I love to go and plan special and corporate events for groups visiting my home: coastal South Carolina. I treat every itinerary with the excitement and care as if it was my own. Professional, creative, thorough and occasionally known to be a little fun :).
Let me help you discover the moments no picture can capture, no words can describe.
