September 2024: Your Guide to Rhine River Cruising

We are sitting on a Viking river cruise as we write this, nearing the port city of Kinderdijk, Netherlands. We have spent 7 days cruising the beautiful Rhine River, from its first navigable point in Basel Switzerland to Amsterdam, Netherlands, near Rotterdam, where it flows out to sea. This is, by passenger count, the most popular river cruise route in Europe.
